happiness is the smell of gingerbread baking in the oven

This was my very first time making this and I thought it came out pretty good. In the spirit of the season I wanted to use gingerbread spice so I did quick search to see what that entailed. I had all the spices on hand so it made it pretty easy to make. You can even make a big batch and refrigerate the rest, just make sure to add some water or milk when reheating to keep it moist. I’m excited to try different variations of it, just like oatmeal almost anything would work.

gingerbread spice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp all spice
¼ tsp ground cloves

oatmeal bake ingredients
½ cup old fashioned oats
¾ tsp gingerbread spice
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup egg white
½ oz golden raisins (half of small box)
½ tsp baking powder
30 drops of liquid vanilla crème stevia
½ tbsp of ideal brown sugar sweetener

1. Mix together all the gingerbread spice ingredients, this will yield about 3 tbsp you won’t use it all but keep it around and add it to other recipes!
2. Preheat the oven at 350.
3. Add all the oatmeal bake ingredients minus the brown sugar sweetener and put it in a oven safe dish.
4. Bake for 20 minutes. When it has 2-3 minutes left sprinkle the brown sugar sweetener on top.
5. Once done, allow it to cool a bit and enjoy!
