perfect time for some snuggles and hot chocolate

There were two things that led me to make this; first, I bought a Ghirardelli baking bar a few months back and wanted an excuse to use it and second, if you live in the northeast you know we had some winter weather come our way so it was a perfect time for it. I added some of the gingerbread spice I had left over from the gingerbread oatmeal bake recipe to make it extra festive. It was also a nice treat after almost two hours of shoveling.


2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 square of Ghirardelli 100% cacao baking bar
½ tsp of gingerbread spice (refer to spice mix here)
10 tsp of Ideal brown sugar sweetener

1. In a sauce pan add the almond milk and the Ghirardelli chocolate until it has melted completely. Keep an eye on it so that it doesn’t spill over (steaming milk will tend to do that).
2. Add the spice and brown sugar sweetener. Taste just in case in needs a little bit more sugar or spices.
3. Add hot chocolate into a mug and find someone to snuggle with.
