super easy, super healthy hamburger pita pizza

hamburger pizza my pizza is eating my pizza
I had this for lunch yesterday and it was seriously delicious that I just had to share. I love pita bread and find any excuse to use it. The inspiration behind making this was I remembered having gone to California Pizza Kitchen a very long time ago and ordering a “hamburger pizza”. Well, this is my version of it, I used ground turkey instead of beef. You’ll notice that I didn’t add any measurements in my ingredients because it’s really up to you and how you want it. The same goes with how long its in the oven just eye-ball it and keep an eye on it… you can’t screw this up, promise.
ingredients
1 low carb pita
pizza sauce
cooked ground turkey
shredded cheddar cheese
romaine lettuce, chopped
tomatoes, chopped

instructions
Place the pita in the oven at 350 for just a few minutes so it can get toasty. Then add the pizza sauce and sprinkle with cheddar cheese (or mozzarella) and put it under the broiler until cheese is nice a melty and the edges are toasted. If you don’t have cooked ground turkey make sure to do this before hand and season it with your favorite seasoning. Add ground turkey, chopped lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese and chopped tomatoes then devour!

friends buy you lunch… best friends eat your lunch
While I was making this Kenne came to the kitchen, “what are youuuu doing?”. I explained the inspiration behind it then she just stood there with her puppy eyes. I tried to ignore her for as long as I could but I just gave in and grabbed another pita bread to make her one. She’s so sneaky coming down to the kitchen during lunch time! We both had the same thing but she added goat cheese to hers because she’s a fiend for it.
